    Description

    Handsome fold-out 1959 Humble Oil road map of Mexico, printed more than 59 years ago.
    This map opens to 24" x 25" and has great detail on old highway alignments, with cartography by the General Drafting Company.
    There are inset plans of Monterrey, Chihuahua, Cuernavaca, Guadalajara, Puebla, San Luis Potosi, Taxco, and the Mexico City area.
    The front cover artwork depicts the cathedral in Mexico City. Built between 1573 and 1667, this majestic structure stands on the site of an ancient Aztec temple.
    The map was distributed by the Humble Oil & Refining Company of Houston, Texas, in 1959, and it is dated in the legend.
