Description
I am liquidating part of my grandmothers estate. She was an expert doll collector and restorer for 60 plus years.22" Artist Doll of Abe Lincoln, by Faith Wick, 1974.
Shoulderhead, hands and boots are wax over porcelain. He has a painted face and red hair and beard. I think it's human hair.
Cloth body, arms and legs. Arms and legs have a wire in them so they hold a pose.
He is sitting in an solid wood rocker with a cane seat and back. Rocker is 12 1/2"T x 11 1/2"L x 6 3/4" W.
Clothes - Of the period and he has a stovepipe hat. Clothes are original to the doll and handmade.
COND. - Excellent - All fingers and no damage to wax covered areas. Clothes - There is an ink mark on his shirt and moth holes in his pant legs.
MARK - I can't get his clothes off, so I can't see the back of his shoulderplate for the mark.
This is an original doll by artist Faith Wick. A NIADA member.
