    Description

    This listing is for a Rosco Vortex 360 Dual Rotator (Older style). This device does not operate directly via dmx. In order to control it via a lightboard it would need to be plugged in to a proper dimmer/circuit with a turn around (Twistlock or Stagepin). All three devices listed are in working condition although the motors labor at time (items being listed accordingly at over half of new price). Cosmetically some of the devices have the original owners company name and phone number written on them (also considered in the pricing). All three come with original 4 pin power cable and in the original box. All three were benchtested before listing and due to overall age will be benchtested again before shipment.     Rosco Vortex 360 Dual Gobo Rotator
    is one of the most versatile accessories ever offered to lighting designers. And its low price makes it possible for any theatre or venue to have several copies available to cover any space or meet any need.
    The sleek unit houses two carefully crafted gear drives, both made of stainless steel, to assure long term operation. A single silent motor drives both gear assemblies. Even at full speed, the VORTEX 360 Dual Rotator is so quiet it can be used anywhere in a theatre or venue - including front-of-house positions in a theatre or grids on low ceilings in restaurants or stores.
    This Plug and Play model of the VORTEX 360 does not require any additional power supply. The 120-240 Volt AC transformer/plug that comes with it can be plugged directly into a wall outlet. Or, using a low cost adapter, into any convenient dimmer.
    The VORTEX 360 Dual Rotator will fit the iris slot of the ETC Source Four, the Altman Shakespeare, Strand SL and the Selecon Pacific.
    It accepts standard B size (86 mm) steel or glass gobos.
    The rotational speed of the VORTEX can be remotely controlled by plugging the power adapter into an electronic dimmer output (set the power adapter to 12V for best results).
    The Vortex 360 includes a three-way toggle switch, discreetly located just under the handle. The switch allows on-off, and polarity control.
    The front and rear gears rotate opposite each other - but the switch allows the user to determine whether the front or rear will operate clockwise.
    Potentiometer knob to manually control the speed of rotation. The Vortex 360 can be plugged into an ordinary wall outlet or, with an adapter, into any convenient dimmer.
    If powered through a dimmer, the operator can control the speed of rotation through the lighting control board.
